Each
spotter design creation is handcrafted by the artist using raw
materials reclaimed from thrift stores, tag sales, closets, and bargain
bins. Chance and whimsy are to blame (..er, credit) for the
one-of-a-kind nature of all things spotter. A buttonless lambs wool
cardigan here, a moth-eaten cashmere v-neck there; all spotter design
raw materials come to the artist one-by-one; sweaters are washed,
dried, and pressed, buttons are sorted, and leather handbags
un-stitched. These materials then await their final transformation from
bygone castoff to inspiration du jour.
